An odd weekend

 Dearest Gentle Reader, 

I've clearly been bingeing a lot of Bridgerton. I've almost finished season four now. Thoroughly enjoying it, and I'd recommend. Didn't think I'd be interested in it, but it is sooo good. 

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Mine was great, a little odd, and went way too quick. 
So, Saturday, the washer/dryer lost the will to live, and despite trying to contact multiple repair places, no one seemed to want any business, and the machine was out of warranty, so, another one was ordered. That arrives tomorrow. Anyway, on my way to the shop with Howpal to buy a new one - I'm being the passenger princess - he was driving, we suddenly hear a car beep behind us. Howpal looks in the rear view mirror and starts mouthing off at the person. Pulls up along side him and of course.. winds down MY window. So he and this random person are yelling at each other through their car windows and I'm just stuck in the middle wanting to die. I don't even know what really happened. So that happened. After that, I went for sushi for lunch, nothing too odd to report. Oh, and that morning, there was snow on the mountain. We have barely left Summer.. I hope it's not a sign of things to come. 

Fast forward to later that evening, I went to the casino for dinner, drinks and a bit of gamba. As we stepped out of the uber, an older lady approached me and asked if I was going to "Blackmans Bay". That's a suburb probably 10-15 mins away. I was so confused, because I was just about to walk into the casino. I had no idea why she was asking me. I just kind of blinked at her like I didn't speak English. Anyway, turns out that for some reason she thought I was an uber or taxi driver? I'd literally just stepped out of the passenger side of an uber and was entering the casino. So why she assumed I was a driver, I'll probably never know. 

Got in the restaurant located within the casino. It's a lovely Chinese restaurant called Kwan Ho. 
Had some amazing scallops and spring rolls for the entree. Then a Mushroom 'Pa' Duck (braised duck fillet with assorted mushrooms etc) and Eye Fillet Black Pepper beef. And yes, there was wine. After dinner, we had some cocktails and went to the slot machines. Unfortunately, it wasn't looking great. We were down about $400 until I thankfully managed to get some juicy free spins and stuff and won it all back, so I broke even and left. Probably best case scenario, I definitely can't complain.

So, got home, tried to order Vodka from the bottle shop (apparently they all close before 9pm on a Saturday night. Is that not weird?). Definitely didn't need it anyway, so instead I opened a bottle of white wine and proceeded to stream on twitch and played some plate up with friends. Needless to say it got messy quite quickly and I was falling asleep whilst live on cam and slurring my words. 

Thankfully, I'm blessed with good friends and the lovely Kirra gently encouraged me to go to bed, so I did. But... well, after I ended my stream I fell asleep on the floor of my computer bedroom for a good hour or so before I actually got back up and went to bed. The next days hangover was atrocious. I didn't even think I'd drank that much.

ANYWAY, now today, I sit here with a Holter monitor on. Completely unrelated to my partying, but I've been having heart palpitations for a couple of months now, which I suspect is being caused by a certain medication I'm on, but nevertheless, worth investigating. I had some blood etc done as well, so I guess I'll talk about that in my next post. 

Perhaps, however, I should start taking better care of myself now that I'm nearing my 40s. 
Also! Priceline was doing this deal where if you spent $80+ on participating skin care brands, you'd also get a skin care bag with $250 worth of skin care stuff and mine arrived today, so I'm gonna go through it all and maybe make a vid about it, as well as do a review on 2 LED masks. Where I am now! + A big thank you - Subathon

 Hi all,  Hope everyone is having an amazing weekend. Those of you in the EU, I hope the heat settles down soon. And those of you in the US, Happy 4th of July! Here I am feeling sorry for myself with my heater on and snow on the mountain.  So, a couple months ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD. Suspected by many, surprised no one. I started medication probably a month or so ago now, and I wanted to give an update on how I'm travelling.  A lot of people have noticed this, but I seem much more motivated and productive. I am streaming most days, I'm posting clips, I'm learning lots of tech, vid, audio stuffs. I feel happier, I'm even drinking less??? So weird. Who would've thought?  I have a lot more clarity all round. A lot of things felt harder, previously. Even a simple task was draining. Personal reflection and health updates

 Hi all,  I hope you've all had a lovely week and weekend. It's 10:42pm Sunday night AEST at the time of starting this blog, and my weekend has been pretty damn good. Apart from my baking adventures.. I'll start by saying this; I didn't know yeast expired. Yep.. you read that right. I didn't know that was a thing. So, I tried baking a garlic and rosemary loaf a few weeks ago with a bread maker, and it seemed very doughy in the middle, didn't rise, didn't have that bready feel. Thought perhaps it was because I had put actual milk in instead of powdered milk - albeit, a small amount - but that clearly wasn't the case. Today I did some more research to figure out the issue. Most likely culprit is the yeast. Especially because it's BB was 2023... Now, I'm kind of sitting here thinking 2023 was yesterday, but it's also 2026 now.. In fact, we're almost half way through it... So, idk. Where the... ???????? I'ma wake up tomorrow and be 90. Bu...
